Gern Glas A/S is Denmark’s largest manufacturer of plane glass and mirrors for the furniture/kitchen industry and parts of the building industry. During the past few years we have had a new management, new production facilities and – in particular – a new and very proactive growth strategy.
During the past 4-5 years we have enlarged our facilities four times, which gives us a total area of 15,000 square metres. During this period we have also automated as many processes as possible. E.g. we have invested in a continuous tempering furnace – the only one of its kind in Denmark – which is connected to an internal two-tier conveyor system.
We have also created an entirely new production flow in order for us to maintain an efficient and cost-saving production, which in the end will benefit our customers in terms of lower prices.
Our expansions and enhanced productivity makes us an interesting partner for many businesses, as we are now able to produce larger volumes than before. At the same time we meet the customers’ demands for short leadtime by offering a short delivery time – from a few days on stock line agreements and up to 3-4 weeks on large productions without prior agreement.
Gern Glas A/S has 60 employees and is able to provide stock lines as well as customized products, grinding, tempering, drilling, silk-screen printing and CNC processing.
